History
The Lyres and Drums Band was created with the Music Band in the year 1967 directed by different teachers, but the actual director is the professor Rogelio Robles, who started his period in 1996 until today.
Objectives
The first objective of the Lyres and Drums Band was to accompany the Music Band, but in the year 2002 turn independent.
This band is integrated by around 100 students that fulfill the requirements so they can be in it.
The Lyres and Drums Band started just with students of highschool but now they count with Elementary Students which play some instruments like acoustic box, tenor, bass drum.

They have represented the school in national and international contests and they have win a lot of awards. We can mention 5 times champions of Colegio Vista Alegre Cup, 8 times champions of La Loteria Contest, Champions of The Ministry of Education Contest and Champions of “Mueve tu Banda” Contest which is made by TVN.
